Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has reaffirmed his commitment to his girlfriend amid a public dispute involving fellow rapper Blaqbonez.
Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, accused Blaqbonez of attempting to create tension in his relationship after allegedly revealing that he previously had a friends-with-benefits relationship with Odumodublvck’s girlfriend.
According to Odumodublvck, Blaqbonez contacted him and disclosed the alleged past relationship, apparently believing he was unaware of it.
The rapper said he questioned the motive behind bringing up the issue and suggested that the revelation was intended to damage his girlfriend’s reputation following an alleged rejection.
“Blaqbonez buzzed me with the intention of telling me that he was friends with benefit with my girlfriend a long time ago thinking I’m unaware. Who does such a vile thing?” he said.
Odumodublvck defends his relationship
Odumodublvck further alleged that Blaqbonez was attempting to construct a particular narrative about the woman because of their past interactions.
He said he would not allow the controversy to influence his view of his girlfriend, stressing that his loyalty to her remained firm.
In a strongly worded statement, the rapper accused Blaqbonez of harassing and maligning an “innocent woman’s character” after allegedly being rejected.
Odumodublvck also dismissed concerns about how the situation might be perceived publicly, saying his relationship would not be dictated by societal expectations.
He concluded by reaffirming his affection and commitment to his girlfriend, making it clear that the allegations had not changed his position.
Blaqbonez’s alleged disclosure and the claims surrounding the pair’s past relationship have since become the focus of the dispute, while Odumodublvck maintains that he stands firmly by his partner.
