The Edo State Security Corps has arrested two people allegedly connected to the robbery of Aimas Hair Shop in the GRA area of Benin City, Edo State.
The arrests followed a complaint from the store owner and the review of CCTV footage, which investigators said captured the suspects during the operation.

CCTV captures robbery
According to the security corps, the footage shows a male suspect allegedly brandishing a firearm and threatening staff inside the shop.
He reportedly forced the sales personnel into an inner room and locked them inside.
At the same time, a female accomplice allegedly removed about 90 pieces of hair extensions from mannequins and packed them into a bag.
The suspects reportedly arrived in a minibus painted in the state-approved colours.
35 bundles recovered
Security personnel later arrested two suspects and recovered 35 bundles of human hair, said to be worth millions of naira.
The business owner expressed appreciation for the security corps’ swift response.
She said three people—two men and a woman—were involved in the incident and appealed for the remaining suspect to be apprehended.
According to the security corps, the driver and female suspect are now in custody, while the other male suspect remains at large.
Driver denies involvement
During his parade, the male suspect identified himself as the vehicle’s driver and denied being part of the robbery.
He claimed that he only transported the individuals after they approached him to provide driving services and said he was unaware of their alleged intentions.
The competing accounts will now be subject to further investigation.
The suspects and the recovered property have been transferred to the Intelligence Rapid Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.
