2026 UTME candidates can now verify and upload their O’Level results without leaving home.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new online service that allows candidates to complete the process remotely, reducing the need to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
The service initially covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and is intended to ease pressure on CBT centres, particularly when demand is high.
How the New System Works
JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announced the development on Monday.

He said the new system is designed to make result verification and uploading faster, safer and more convenient while reducing paperwork and physical visits.
Under the arrangement, JAMB’s e-Facility platform will electronically cross-check candidates’ O’Level information with the relevant examination body before the result is uploaded to the candidate’s profile.
This additional verification is also expected to help reduce problems linked to:
- Fake or unverifiable results
- Lost or misplaced certificates
- Incorrect manual entry of subjects
- Errors in recorded grades
What Candidates Need to Do
Candidates must first obtain a Verification Code through JAMB’s designated portal.
The process requires candidates to provide:
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- O’Level examination details
- Email address
- GSM/mobile number
- The required payment
Candidates will then enter their examination number, examination series and year.
If the result is successfully verified, JAMB will issue a Verification Code.
The candidate must subsequently send:
VERIFY [Verification Code]
to 55019 or 66019.
Candidates With Two O’Level Sittings
Candidates who have two O’Level results can complete the upload through their JAMB e-Facility accounts.
After logging in, they should:
- Select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
- Enter the Verification Code.
- Select the required subjects, with the system allowing between five and nine subjects.
The process is intended to give candidates greater control over their records while reducing dependence on physical CBT-centre visits.
Part of JAMB’s Digital Service Push
JAMB said the initiative forms part of its broader effort to modernise candidate services under its sixth Registrar, Prof Segun Aina.
The Board said the focus is on reducing queues, paperwork and unnecessary trips while making its processes easier for candidates to navigate.
For 2026 UTME candidates, the biggest change is simple: an O’Level result that previously required a physical visit can now be verified and uploaded remotely.
JAMB said it would continue expanding technology-driven solutions as part of its efforts to improve the candidate experience.
